Calgary, Alberta, (September 27, 2022) –Haunted Calgary features a terrifying walk-through haunted attraction in the heated underground parkade of New Horizon Mall in Balzac.  Entering their 31st Halloween season, this year is special as they celebrate the inspiration of Haunted Calgary’s original Wicked Witch, the late Myrna Campbell.  Created largely by the efforts of volunteers, Haunted Calgary strives to bring awareness to a number of charitable partners, including Calgary Alpha House Society and ARTS Senior Animal Rescue.  The frightening event begins at New Horizon Mall on October 1.

“WICKED” will transport guests to a house so evil, not even the concrete tomb of a parkade could contain it.  Journey through the house’s ill-fated history, where the scares are real and the stakes for visiting are life or death. Guests will find themselves trapped in the house where the sound of ghostly voices whisper and demons stalk their prey.  Meet the house’s eternally suffering residents, and try to escape before the house claims your soul too.

Full scare too terrifying?  Haunted Calgary offers a low scare option on Saturday afternoons in October, including a sensory-friendly edition on October 1 and Sunday, October 30.  Low scare is the perfect option for kids, families, and adults who want to take in all of the small details without running in fear.

Haunted Calgary is also proud to be fully wheelchair accessible, and they accept the Access2 card.

The countdown to the opening of Haunted Calgary on Saturday, October 1, begins as all tickets to Haunted Calgary’s terrifying event are now on sale. Tickets purchased online or at the Haunted Calgary gate provide guests with event admission while helping to raise funds for local charities, as 30% of profits are donated by this social enterprise. Haunted Calgary offers a variety of ticket options, including General Admission, Group Rates, the premium R.I.P. Superpass and popular Fast Passes, Glowstick Night, and Hell Night (a wide game), which allow guests to experience the scares again and again in different formats.
