About

born to stand out, not fit in.

Some kids live for soccer cleats and sunshine. Others live for fog machines, fake blood, and the perfect creak of a haunted door.

If your child counts down to Halloween all year… sketches monsters in the margins of their homework… or would rather build a graveyard than score a goal — they might have just found their people.

Haunted Hollows Day Camp is the camp we wish existed when we were kids. A place where strange is celebrated, creativity runs wild, and imagination isn’t just encouraged — it’s unleashed. Here, campers don’t just make crafts. They build worlds. They create characters. They learn real skills. And they form friendships bonded by glue guns, cardboard, and a shared love of the spooky.

This is where the wonderfully weird belong.

About

WHere Glitter meets Gore

Campers don’t just “do crafts.” They step behind the curtain and learn how haunted attractions are really made.

Throughout the week, they’ll flex their creative muscles through hands-on projects that teach real-world haunt skills — from sculpting and molding to layering paint for realistic aging and decay. They’ll experiment with industry insider techniques like corpsing (making props look convincingly gorey and gooey) and working with “monster mud” to transform ordinary materials into eerie, textured masterpieces.

This isn’t glue-and-glitter camp. It’s build-it, distress-it, bring-it-to-life camp.

By the end of the week, kids head home with real props, costume pieces, and handcrafted creations they’re proud of — plus the confidence that comes from turning imagination into something tangible, theatrical, and unforgettable.

About

REAL tools.  REAL SKILLs

Our team of experienced haunters doesn’t just talk about building — we teach kids how to do it properly and safely.

Under close supervision, campers learn how to confidently handle real tools like drills, staple guns, and hammers. We focus first on safety, respect for the tools, and proper technique — because building something incredible starts with building good habits.

Then the magic happens.

Campers use those skills to construct their own props, simple mechanisms, set pieces, and costume elements. They don’t just imagine haunted houses — they help engineer them. There’s something powerful about watching a child realize, “I built that.”

It’s hands-on learning, creative problem-solving, and practical life skills — all wrapped in fog and cobwebs.

About

Cinematic Scares

The team from Don’s Costume and Makeup Shop brings true movie-magic to camp.

Campers learn how to create jaw-dropping horror looks using professional-grade, film-quality makeup and real special effects techniques. From layering bruises and burns to crafting scars, texture, and transformation, they’ll discover how makeup artists turn ordinary faces into unforgettable characters.

This isn’t face paint from a party kit. It’s hands-on experience with the same kinds of materials and methods used in theatre and film — taught in a safe, age-appropriate, and wildly fun way.

By the end of the week, campers don’t just look scary. They understand how and why the illusion works — and how to create it themselves.

About

TEamwork Is Scream Work

Haunting isn’t a solo act. It’s an ensemble.

Behind every great scare is a team of builders, designers, actors, problem-solvers, and big-idea dreamers working together to make the magic happen.

Throughout the week, campers collaborate on projects, challenges, and games that require real teamwork. They’ll learn how to divide roles, share tools, solve problems together, and support each other’s strengths. One camper might be a master painter. Another might be fearless with a drill. Another might have the perfect monster voice. The magic happens when those skills combine.

Along the way, they’ll discover something powerful: every role matters. Every contribution counts. And the best haunt teams aren’t made of identical talents — they’re built from diverse skills, big imaginations, and a willingness to lift each other up.

Because when everyone plays their part, the whole world comes to life.

About

Make Your Monster

Throughout the week, campers step into the world of live haunt performance.

They’ll meet real Haunted Calgary scare actors and learn what it takes to bring a character off the page and onto the stage. Through improv games, movement exercises, and acting challenges, kids explore how to use voice, posture, timing, and presence to create a truly unforgettable monster.

They’ll design and build elements of their own costumes, experiment with character backstories, and develop a fully realized haunt persona from the ground up.

By the end of the week, they’re not just pretending to be monsters — they understand how to become them.
